What is hypnosis and how does it work?
Hypnosis is not sleep. In most cases the subject is fully aware of communication
and is able to respond on request either verbally or by signal. Nor is unconsciousness involved. A subject asked to make specific
movement will comply with the request unless it is objectionable, in which case there will be a refusal.
Have you ever driven somewhere and reached your destination not
remembering much about the trip getting there? That is called Highway Hypnosis. You were not sleeping. You would have been
able to respond if there were an emergency on the road, true? This is very similar to the state of mind you are in under hypnosis.
Awake and aware of everything going on around you.
There is no surrender of mind or control. A person who does
not want to be hypnotized cannot be hypnotized or be induced to do or say anything which violates personal standards of
behavior or integrity.
All Hypnosis if self-hypnosis. All a hypnotist does is facilitate a person into
the hypnosis process.
Does Hypnosis Work?
In essence, hypnosis is a means of communication between the conscious mind and the subconscious
mind. Many human problems, habits, stresses, anxieties, attitudes or apparent deficiencies can be traced to interpretations
by the subconscious mind which, when understood by the conscious mind, can reduce or resolve specific problems. Using the
power of suggestion in hypnosis, to change or eliminate old programing, is what makes this process work.
Will I get stuck in hypnosis?
No,
all you have to do is open your eyes and tell yourself to come back to the state you were in before the session and
you are out of hypnosis.
What if I am
very strong-willed or strong-minded?
Your strong
mind will work in your favor! You and your hypnotist are working together to achieve the same goal;
the benefits you're seeking with the use of hypnosis.
How will I know if I'm doing it right?
If this is your first time using hypnosis relax and enjoy the experience.
There is no right or wrong way. Allow yourself to get completely comfortable. When I request for you to close your eyes, just
let them close and focus on the sound of my voice. By focusing on the sound of my voice you will allow yourself
to enter a state of hypnosis; ready to receive your beneficial suggestions. It is normal for the mind to wander
during hypnosis! This is an indication that you are entering into the state of hypnosis. The purpose of my relaxation deepening
technique is to bore your conscience mind so it will allow access to your subconscious mind. If you notice your mind
wandering you can bring it back to the sound of my voice or let your mind keep wandering. Either way your subconscious
mind will receive the beneficial suggestions.
Do you charge
for a consultation?
No. All consultations are free of charge.
Do I need an
appointment??
Yes! All sessions are by appointment only.
May I bring
someone with me?
You are welcome to bring someone with you as long as they are an adult. Children can be
disruptive during the hypnosis process and I want you to get the most out of your hypnosis session. Keep in mind, it
is not unusual for sessions to take one to 1-1/2 hours. There is a small waiting area, therefore your
guest will not be in the same room with you during your discovery interview and hypnosis session.
Are there any former clients I can contact about your services?
Yes, my clients are happy to recommend my services.
Please call me for the contact information.
